Management of Medicine: Human and Technology

With the rapid advancement in life science and welfare technology, it is expected that individuals will have to take on more responsibility for managing their medication in the future.

In this context, what aspects should we focus on to ensure health equality?

  • How can we successfully promote a more positive narrative to elderly citizens and their relatives?
  • What ethical considerations should we make?

In this meeting, we will take a heliotropic perspective to explore the potential benefits of increasing citizen self-management in a digitized healthcare system, focusing on secure medication handling.

We will hear presentations from various perspectives on the competencies, prerequisites, and desires for self-management among vulnerable elderly citizens. The focus will be on a positive narrative centred on empowering citizens, giving them freedom and the ability to maintain a significant degree of self-management.
